West Cambie
Newer, and still changing
West Cambie sits in Richmond's north-east, between No. 3 Road and Highway 99. Much of what is here was built in the last two decades, and parts of it are still being built.
The No. 3 Road corridor through this area carries the Asian shopping mall cluster — Aberdeen Centre and its neighbours — with the Aberdeen Canada Line station serving them directly. It is one of the most distinctive retail strips in Metro Vancouver.
The appeal is straightforward: newer buildings, mixed-use convenience, quick access to Highway 99 and the airport, and more space per dollar than the city centre. Commercial and live-work units appear here more often than in most Richmond neighbourhoods.
