Victoria–Fraserview
The south slope, quietly
Victoria–Fraserview runs down Vancouver's south-east slope toward the Fraser River — a district of mid-century houses on generous lots, wide streets and mature trees. It has never been fashionable, which is precisely why families stay: you get land, a garden and a garage for what a two-bedroom buys closer in.
Housing stock is predominantly detached, much of it built between the 1950s and 1970s, with a steady flow of renovations and laneway additions. Lower suites are common and often material to how buyers finance a purchase here.
Nearby: Fraserview Golf Course, Everett Crowley Park, Killarney Community Centre, the Fraser River foreshore trails, and the Champlain Heights shops for daily needs.
