Burnaby · Town Centre
Brentwood Park
The towers came first
Brentwood is one of Burnaby's four designated town centres, and the one changing fastest. What was a low-rise shopping centre and surface parking off Lougheed Highway is being rebuilt as a cluster of residential towers, with the retail folded underneath them rather than beside them.
Almost everything selling here is new or nearly new, which makes it unusual for the region: you are buying into a building with a warranty rather than a depreciation report with a history. The trade-off is that the neighbourhood around it is still under construction, and will be for some years.
Nearby: The Amazing Brentwood for shopping, the Millennium Line at Brentwood Town Centre and Gilmore, Willingdon Avenue for the run south to Metrotown, and Burnaby Lake Regional Park to the east.
